Open House 2020.

21st September 2020

Last weekend marked the return of Open City and Open House, with a combination of talks, online content and ticketed events. To celebrate we’re featuring a mid-century favourite of ours, The Stanley Picker House in Kingston upon Thames. It’s proportions, structure and interiors are both immaculate and inspiring. It showcases high ceilings, expansive glazing and a mix of both open spaces and private corners.

‘Completed in 1968 by Kenneth Wood, it is a time capsule of the 1960s, set in a quiet cul-de-sac on steeply sloping ground which both inspired and challenged the architect when creating the modern split-level design.’
